    The EP, titled Buffalo Boyfriend – In Colour features four songs from the duo’s extensive original repertoire and is the result of three years of writing and playing music between Rachel Beinke and Alana Jagt.
    The girls both started life in rural South Australia, from Whyalla and Cowell to Napperby and Crystal Brook; they eventually got together in Adelaide to form the duo and began to write their own material. Their music is a blend of folk and pop with a hint of ‘Americana’ sounding country. Featuring truthful lyrics complimented by haunting vocal melody and harmony lines, their voices blend together as well as blue and yellow on a painter’s palette.

Bleeding Colour, previously named Theo, is a song that Alana wrote about her favourite visual artist Vincent Van Gogh. As most know Van Gogh led a troubled life which he ended when he was only in his 30s, what some don't know though, is that he had an older brother named Theodore who was an art dealer and they were very close. The song is about the letters that the brothers wrote to each other over their lives. Theo died only a short time after Vincent.
